Two maestros who listened from India to last year's festival will be joining us. 
The greats Pt. Krishna Bhatt and Pt. Anindo Chaterjee.

This year the festival is collaborating as a media partner of several live events:

On Saturday June 15th (8pm - 2am), Brooklyn Raga Massive presents their monthly showcase for deep-listening audiences in Brooklyn! Come to 505 1/2 Waverly Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11238 Between Fulton and Atlantic in Clinton Hill (C or G train to Clinton-Washington) and hear this fantastic lineup of up-and-coming Indian Classical musicians representing the 5-boroughs of NYC. The night will consist of three Indian Classical Duets. Featuring Jay Gandhi (bansuri) with Abhik Mukherjee (sitar), Samarth Nagarkar (vocal) with Eric Fraser (Bansuri) and Sameer Gupta (tabla) with Ehren Hanson (tabla). On Friday June 21st (Worldwide Music Day Celebration) (4pm to 8pm), HarmoNYom, in association with Make Music NY (MMNY), is presenting "A Rhythmic Journey of Indian Classical Music" in Central Park, NYC! As part of the MMNY “World Music Tour”, this incredible and unique event will feature three amazing artists: 1- Unprecedented all-female percussion ensemble by Taalika/ women of Tabla (Jin Won and Sejal Kukadia); Followed by Taalim Tabla Trio/men of Tabla (Kaumil Shah, Michael Lukshis, and Archit Krishna). 2- Super star vocalist Falu and ensemble. 3- Hindustani Vocalist Samarth Nagarkar in association with Navatman. WKCR has been featuring Indian Classical Music for over two decades, currently broadcasting two shows every Sunday: Morning Ragas (6 to 8 am) and Raag Aur Tal (7 to 9 pm). In 2006, host David Ellenbogen started producing shows with live in-studio performances of Indian Classical Music. David’s format became the format of the monthly "Ragas Live" show. "Ragas Live" broadcasts in-studio and live performances recorded by WKCR and has featured a who's who of the great maestros of Indian Classical Music.

WKCR is a non-commercial, student-run station affiliated with Columbia University.
